Bob Marshall Pictures From Mom and Dad
Summer 2005
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My mom and dad hiked a total of around 60 miles to see me. I was very proud of them for undertaking such a big adventure.
They trained hard and were ready to go. They came in from Holland Lake and over Gordon Pass (the shortest way to BP from
the west side.) Their GPS's inaccuracies had them struggling with the mental aspects of long hikes. But they pushed on and made
it nonetheless. On July 22, I met them just east of Elk Creek and we hiked back to BP. They stayed at BP until the 25th, then
headed back out the way they came with more assurance and knowledge of the trails length. It was AWESOME having
somebody I knew from the outside world come in to see me. Thanks Mom and Dad!
